Ni sa bula vinaka. just a short update on my recent trip to samoa! It was a great opportuntiy to have met with 5 collegues, 4 are members of Nuidei and one i met for the first time. We talked about the Self Monitoring Bookelt and it was an eye opening that most did not have information about the drugs they were taking. A discussion on treatment was the topic of thje day.

I am the youngest in the family of nine (4 brothers and 4 sisters) and life has not been easy. I was my dad's pet when he passed away when i was only 11 years old. My mum remarried to a high chief three years later which gave us children especially the boys a challenge of living with a step father. Very caring but an alcoholic. There is always a first time for everything. In the circle of HIV and AIDS the first case was reported around 1981. The first reported case of HIV in the Pacific Islands was in 1984 in RMI and CNMI. In 1989, Fiji reported its first case and in December 2010, almost 30 years since the first reported case in the world, the first case for the Cook islands was reported.
